Terms of Service

This is a game, not gambling

VersusPicks is for entertainment among friends. There is no wagering, there are no entry fees, and there are no prizes. No money moves through this app, and the app does not process payments of any kind. Picks are worth points in a league standings table and nothing else.

If you and your friends arrange something of value between yourselves, that is entirely your own affair, has nothing to do with VersusPicks, and is your responsibility to keep lawful where you live.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. Keep one account rather than several, keep your sign-in secure, and choose a display name you are willing to have other members of your leagues see.

How to behave

Do not use VersusPicks to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, including through display names, league names, or feedback messages.
• Impersonate another person.
• Attempt to reach data that is not yours, including other members' picks before they are revealed.
• Attack, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the service, or use it through automated means.

Leagues are private groups reached by a join code. If you share a code, you are choosing who can join, and a league commissioner is responsible for the league they run.

Sports data and team names

VersusPicks is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, or any team, league, or broadcaster. Team names, abbreviations, and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and appear here only to identify the games being picked.

Schedules, scores, and results are gathered from public sources. They can be wrong, delayed, or corrected after the fact, and scoring in the app follows whatever the data says. Do not rely on VersusPicks as a source of truth for any sporting result.

The service is provided as-is

This is a hobby project. It may change, break, lose data, or stop entirely, and there is no guarantee that it will be available or that anything in it is accurate. VersusPicks is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, nor for lost picks, lost standings, or the outcome of any competition run through it.

Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time; the privacy policy explains how and what happens to your past picks. We may suspend or remove an account that abuses the service or the people in it. If VersusPicks shuts down, we will give what notice we reasonably can.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the app after that means the new terms apply to you. Material changes will be announced in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the courts located there.
